Finally got my Mom convinced to get her permit to carry and a pistol !! So, now to have her try different models at the range.. I'm thinking something in .380 or 9mm. Single stack mag. Small but potent.. Any suggestions ? Bersa, Taurus ...Bersa Concealed Carry .380 Black with three mags 7+1 & 8+1 with finger rest in great condition and used as my wife's carry pistol. It comes with Galco Black RH quick draw holster that snaps around your belt, three 50 round boxes of ball ...However, I am a fan of the Bersa Thunder pistols. I was extremely dubious of them at first (How can a $189--at the time--pistol be good? ) until a shooting buddy bought one. It always went bang. It was decently accurate. ...I am interested in a shoulder holster and an in pants holster RH for a Bersa Thunder Concealed Carry 380 pistol and also (2) mags with finger grip 8+1.Firestorm are not just rebranded Bersa firearms. They sound like EAA. They import and sell firearms from different manufacturers under their name with their rollmark. So there are some Firestorm guns which are rebranded Bersa guns but ...New to these forums, but have read alot on here. I recently found out that there is a long list of handguns that can not be sold in MA. One of those is the Bersa 380 which I'm thinking of purchasing out here at school in Utah. ...XDTalk 100 Member. A quality handgun at a very competative price....hard to beat. ...I am equally new to this site, handgun ownership, and Bersa. Have a 380 and have been extremely satisfied with the purchase. It came with 1 mag, and I bought 2 more - these are factory Bersa mags, not pro-mags (I'd read the problems people experienced with the pro mags in bersas). Anyways, in 2 of the 3 mags, ...
I'm not sure what to get for a dependable and easy to conceal handgun Conceal Carry. Right now I own three hand guns, I have a Ruger GP100 357 magnum revolver (way too big for CCW), A Ruger P89DC 9mm (too fat for CCW), and then a little Hi-Point C9 which is a smaller gun lengthwise, but it's actually fatter than my P89DC!
I like the look of the Bersa Thunder, but have never shot one. Is this a good reliable pistol, or do you have any other suggestions?
Thanx!

Thank you guys, I will not be buying a Bersa. It takes me awhile to buy something that my life or the life of my loved one depend.
The Ruger LCP .380 is looking better all of the time.

I was checking out Budsgunshop (online) and I noticed that those guns were priced very reasonably (about $350). The question is, are they good? Do they function reliably? How picky are they when it comes to ammo? Are there any issues that customers have complained about? How is Bersa's customer service?

1. Pistol/Revolver
2. Brand
3. Model
4. Caliber

My wife and I are going to Houston, TX tomorrow (2 hours away from where we currently live) to check out some gun stores to see about getting her a new pistol. We're keeping (not trading) her Bersa Thunder 380 she owns and getting her a 9mm to add to it.

380ACP FMJ is impossible to find around town and online (usually backordered), and the websites that do have it, are charging almost $1 a round!!!

9mm, we can still get in town, stocked on the shelves, $10/box of 50.

with as much shooting as we do on the weekends at the range, it'll actually be cheaper for her to buy a 9mm, until the price of 380 goes back down.

which is why we're asking what your wife shoots so that we can check those models out when we get to the stores.

thanks in advance!

I live in NJ where getting a handgun is a major undertaking. I applied and recieved 2 permits recently.

The first gun I got was the Bersa .380

I am thinking revolver for the second gun, probably chambered in .357 I don't want to spend $1000 either.

the local shop has lots of Taurus and S&W, but I haven't looked close.

Anybody have something else they like or recommend?
I like the compact and small frame guns - hence the .380.

I have a friend offering me his gp100- what should i pay for it?

the bersa is $70.00 cheaper

what's the real difference between these guns in terms of power, quality, etc?

which one is the better value?

I'm looking to buy a 9mm for a home defense gun and possibly to CC. I have 2 shotguns and a rifle but am a novice when it comes to handguns. I am planning on taking a gun safety course. I'd like to know if anyone makes a 9mm semi-automatic with a manual safety and with a grip safety. I want both safety features on the gun. Any input is greatly appreciated. I've looked at Beretta, Ruger, Taurus, Browning, S&W, Walther, Glock, Springfield, Star, Bersa, Kimber, Sig, Hi-Point, and HK.

I had bersa thunder 380 nickle unregistered and i had it concealed and i shot a kids car and went to juvie for a week so what will they do with a the gun plus im 14 so i cant legally carry a handgun

Is the Bersa Thunder .38 a reliable handgun? Does it have any known problems? Is it a good handgun to use with an ankle holster and who makes a holster that this gun would fit in?

Pros and Cons please

My handgun model is Bersa

Hello,

I am leaving to California later on and was wandering if I would be able to bring a Bersa .380 handgun with a 7 round magazine from Arizona where I live?

Pls help me out here, guys. Here they are, in no particular order....CZ82 9x18 (used/surplus), Bersa 380(new), Browning 380(new), Sig 225(used/surplus). Thanks

I want to buy my first handgun but just a little unsure what to get! I dont have my CC yet so it will pretty much just be for shooting targets. I have shot many different types of guns, from different calibers to different manufactuers. So far I have found that I really like .22's, .380's and .40's. As far as makes.. I do like Bersa and S&W, however even though I have never shot one I have became very found of Sigs! I like there features as well as design...

Can anyone help me in deciding which is best for the money and over all which one I should go with!! Thanks for all your help!
Or what about a Browing?
